span>FORUM Family Office invests the wealth of a German family based on the principles of Value Investing as pioneered by Benjamin Graham and Warren Buffett. At the core of our investment policy is a concentrated portfolio of 10–12 companies in which we have developed deep conviction.
span>Our competitive edge lies in fundamental equity research involving extensive field research (interviews) and a discussion culture based on facts - not opinions. This requires fully dedicated professionals with the highest standards of work ethos. Our historical TSR has been 12% p.a./span>/span>
span>We are currently looking for an:/span>
Associate Value Investing
span>Your key responsibilities will include:/span>
- span>span>Screening /span>your investment universe - primarily within a designated region - for idea generation/span>
- span>Meeting /span>span>with the management teams of prospective and current portfolio companies and documenting these meetings with supplementary research/span>
- span>span>Conducting due diligenc/span> on promising investment candidates based on fundamental equity research, including fieldwork, interviews, and financial modelling/span>
- Monitoring our existing investments
You will participate in all team discussions and be fully involved in the decision-making process.
span>You are a strong fit for the team if you bring:/span>
- span>span>Business Sense /span>- the ability to identify high-quality (i.e., franchise) businesses and assess how they will perform in the medium and long term/span>
- span>span>Financial Intelligence ("FinIQ")/span> — the ability to detect ways to make money in a wealth of numbers and unstructured information/span>
- span>span>People Skills /span>— the ability to “read” people and understand the impact of incentive systems and corporate governance structures/span>
- span>High Standards of Work Ethos/span>
span>You should have shaped these skills through 3–8 years of work experience in the investment industry, preferably with an A-company and/or a demonstrable track record. /span>span>In addition to English, you should be fluent in another European language./span>
