Our Values

What makes us different

Our values reflect the personal values of the family we represent. As a family office, it is important to us to own company holdings whose managers and co-shareholders share these values.

The most important are:

We address points openly, we don’t conceal anything. This can sometimes be unpleasant, but it avoids wasting time.

We rely on our managing directors and they can rely on us. Our word is our bond, which is why we spend little time on contracts, etc.

We treat our employees and business partners with respect. For us, they are not chess pieces to be moved around on a playing field. Every person needs recognition, and we give it to them so that they are happy and more efficient.

The picture shows Warren Buffett of Berkshire Hathaway and role model of the values of Forum Family Office in the areas of Private Equity and Value Investing. The picture shows a central headshot of an older gentleman with thinning gray hair. He is wearing square glasses with rounded black frames. He is dressed in a black suit, white shirt and a red tie with white dots on it.

Role model: Berkshire Hathaway and Warren Buffett

Our great role model is Berkshire Hathaway, built by Warren Buffett and Charlie Munger. With consistent application of the above-mentioned values, they have created a company that has generated one of the highest returns for its investors - almost 20% p.a. There are also many other similarities: for example, Berkshire also holds its private investments permanently and manages them completely decentrally.

That’s why we go to Berkshire’s annual general meeting every year. On the day before, we organize an event where many sellers and managers of our holdings, as well as friends from our network, participate, present their companies and exchange ideas.

"In the world of business, the people who are most successful are those who are doing what they love."
― Warren Buffett
