ASSD GmbH

ASSD GmbH, based in Unterhaching, develops cloud-based property management software (PMS) for hostels and youth hostels. Founded in 1988 by Andreas Stolz, the company serves around 150 customers with some 800 properties across Europe.

With a market share of around 40 percent, ASSD is the market leader in the German segment for hostel and youth hostel software. In recent years the company has recorded clear double-digit revenue growth; revenue of around EUR 2.5 million is expected for 2026.

The software is provided as a cloud-based solution and covers the administrative processes of accommodation businesses — from reservation through to invoicing.

FORUM has acquired 100 percent of ASSD through its sector holding company FORUM Software Mittelstandsholding SE. The company remains independent with its own product and its own brand; Andreas Stolz continues to manage the business and all employees have been retained. Together with its sister holding SoftTec, which focuses on the classic hotel sector, ASSD cooperates in marketing, sales, development and internationalization.
