FORUM Family Office ("FORUM") has acquired 100% of the shares in brain-SCC GmbH, based in Merseburg, through its sector holding company FORUM Software Mittelstandsholding SE. The company generates sales of approximately 35 employees a Turnover of approx. € 10 million.
Following the merger to form brain-SCC GmbH in 2007 by Sirko Scheffler and Prof. Dr. Ronny Weinkauf, brain-SCC initially developed into a leading provider of CMS software for municipal portals. The technical advantage is based on the brain-GeoCMS, which combined web-based geodata applications with classic editorial systems on a single technical platform very early on.
In 2021, the company achieved a breakthrough by winning the EfA project for the focus service „Digital Building Permit“. The solution is currently used by 10 federal states. A special technical feature is the newly developed process room technology („VGR“).
FORUM's continuation concept envisages a continuation of the corporate strategy in all essential points. In particular, personnel and location in Merseburg will be retained. The VGR technology is to be made compatible with the VOIS technology of FORUM's sister company HSH Software in Ahrensfelde and marketed in the VOIS community.
Prof. Dr. Ronny Weinkauf is a full-time lecturer at the Merseburg University of Applied Sciences in the fields of economics and information sciences.
In addition to his main role as Managing Director of brain-SCC, Sirko Scheffler is also Chairman of DATABUND, State Chairman of the Economic Council of Saxony-Anhalt, a member of the board of Kommune X.0, buergerservice.org, Cluster IT Mitteldeutschland and numerous other organizations.
