FORUM Family Office Acquires 100% of Kufer Software Group
FORUM Family Office (“FORUM”) has acquired 100% of the shares in Kufer Software GmbH and Kubus Software GmbH, based in Mühldorf/Inn (together “Kufer”), via its industry holding company FORUM Software Mittelstandsholding SE. In 2020, Kufer generated sales of EUR 6.1 million with approximately 58 employees.
The core product of Kufer is Kufer SQL, an ERP system for adult education. Kufer SQL is complemented by Kufer Web – a booking and communication portal – as well as Kufer Tools – web-based add-on services for lecturers and course participants.
Since its foundation in 1984, the company has developed into the leading provider in the field of adult education. Approximately 80% of German adult education centers use Kufer's software. In addition, Kufer is the market leader in the segments of church-based educational institutions and integration course providers (BAMF).
FORUM's continuation concept envisages continuing the company strategy in all essential points, especially the preservation of personnel and location. In the future, the areas of private education providers in particular are to be developed more strongly. Product development will conclude the introduction of Kufer SQL V 5.0 in 2022.
After that, the topic of cloud solution is to be tackled decisively. The resources for this are largely available through the Kufer Web division and the existing business with hosting services. This ensures that Kufer remains a future-proof and innovative partner for its customers.
The founder, Anton Kufer, will continue to manage the business until the end of 2022 and will then be available as a consultant. His comment on this succession solution:
